Ready to Celebrate!

I loved the special Elmo party hats Mommy found for my birthday. As soon as I saw them I put mine on and passed them out to everyone else. Here I am giving my sweet baby cousin Zoe a kiss and dancing with Daddy, just before we all went to enjoy cake and ice cream!

More Birthday Fun

On the morning of my birthday Mommy and I enjoyed some playtime at The Sandbox, an indoor playground nearby. Check out some photos of our fun!

Out to Dinner on My Birthday

Last Wednesday on my "real" birthday Mommy and Daddy took me out for a fancy dinner at Applebee's. My great friend Traci (Mommy's friend and colleague from school) joined the fun. In honor of the occasion I asked Mommy if I could wear a 'Rella dress (my new way of explaining I want to dress up fancy, like Cinderella) - I chose one of the new dresses Grammy Kati bought for me recently.

The first thing I noticed when we arrived at the restaurant was this horse hanging above one of the booths. I was so excited! I yelled "Horse! Giddy-up!" The horse was fresh in my mind a few minutes later when the waiter came over to see what we wanted to drink. He told me I could have apple juice, milk, or chocolate milk. Here is an exact quote of my response:
"Milk - cow - moo - HORSE! I coffee, please!" On second thought, I decided on the apple juice.

As usual Traci spoiled me with too many fabulous presents. Here I am reading her card to Mommy:

Opening one of the many special gifts from Traci...

My dinner choice: chicken fingers and fries!

They surprised me with a strange but festive birthday chant, and some ICE CREAM!

Back home, excitedly checking out my "loot."

The Elmo Cake

For my second 2nd birthday party I decided to celebrate with an Elmo cake:

At the end of this clip it looks as though a bomb has gone off in the kitchen; don't worry - Mommy thinks it is just the flash from someone's camera.

Doctor Appointments

Here are a few shots of me at the eye doctor's office last week:

Today I had my 2-year old check up. I now weigh 29 1/2 pounds and I am 33 1/2 inches tall (around the 50th percentile for each). The doctor was basically amazed by my development in all areas, especially all of my talking. :-) In spite of ending the appointment with a shot, I have been asking to go to the doctor again ever since we left!

Presenting...My New Glasses!

Last Wednesday (on my "real" birthday) I went to visit the eye doctor. He said I get to have glasses to help my eyes work together better. Today we went to pick them up. Here I am looking so cute in them! I am making Mommy and Daddy very proud by doing a great job keeping them on.

Angus and Jo-Jo Join the Birthday Fun

Here are a few pics and clips to show how Angus and Jo-Jo celebrated my birthday with us at Gram Marie and Grampa Larry's house.

Here I am showing Angus this really cool bus bank of Grampa's. I remembered playing with it last time we visited and asked for it almost as soon as we arrived.

Angus used to be the star of the show but watch how Mommy just nudges him aside when he wants to help me open my presents!

Angus: "I really want to go O-U-T...oh please oh please somebody take me O-U-T!"

Angus: "This is taking too long! How many presents does one little girl need? She already has two beagles to play with!"

At the beginning of this clip you can hear Daddy tell Angus "Hold on, Pal" because he really wanted to go "O-U-T" but we were still busy opening presents!

Jo-Jo: "You're STILL opening presents?! Wake me when it's time for cake!"

Thanks for all the AWESOME presents, everybody! Mommy will work on posting more pics and clips of the gift opening extravaganza!
