Gotcha!

Boy did I have Mama fooled. Just when she thought I would never sleep again, last night I slept from 7:00 PM until 4:00 AM!!!! Then I woke up hungry for a snack and Mama was sure ready to feed me too. Now let's see what sleep tricks I play on Mommy tonight!

In case you've been wondering...

About my much-discussed sleep habits:

I slept like a champ for 3 whole weeks, between Mommy's birthday and Mama and Dada's Anniversary. Sleeping at least 3 hour stretches for most of the night! On the night of their anniversary I had been sleeping so well for so many days in a row that Mama and Dada even dared to go out to dinner and left me home asleep with Gramma Katie.

BUT (you knew there was a "but" coming, didn't you?!)...

Sleep has gone downhill fast since I've been sick. Last night was our 9th bad night in a row and Mommy is VERY tired! As Daddy says, she is "next to herself" (or as Mommy says, "beside herself"). Personally I don't see what's wrong with only wanting to sleep on Mommy's lap in the papazon chair in my room, or curled up next to her while she lies awake in bed. Seems like a great sleeping plan to me!

Jammin' with Daddy

My daddy is a great guitar player and I just LOVE to jam with him! Whenever he gets out his guitar I get a huge smile on my face and usually let out a squeal of delight! Here are some photos and a short clip of us jammin' together this week. Even though I've been sick, I can still play a mean lick!

Where have I been?

Faithful Birdie's Blog Fans may have been wondering where I've been all week. Mommy and Daddy are on Winter Break from school and we should be out doing all kinds of fun things. But I have been very sick and keeping Mama and Dada very busy taking good care of me. My fever is all gone but I still have a bad cough and a runny nose. I am happy and playful a lot of the time, but sometimes I get very tired and I've been taking extra long naps. (This week I found a new favorite thing - cuddling with Daddy for a nice cozy nap in the big bed!).

I am trying very hard to get all better, but I don't really want to eat very much. I mostly like to drink Mommy's milk. The only food I like to eat is my old favorite, cheese. Mommy is going to look for some new finger foods for me today to see if we can get my appetite back. Stay tuned for more adventures when I am feeling better!

Mommy's Kindergarten Movie ~ How to Be Kind

Baby's First Valentine's Day

Today was my first Valentine's Day. Daddy and Mommy gave me two special board books and a puppy that says "I love you" when you squeeze his paw. I got to play with Mommy at school for awhile and I made a guest appearance at her afternoon class party. Here are a few photos from my fun day:

Tunnel of Fun

In case you didn't already know this, I have the best babysitter in the whole world! Just look at the fun stuff I get to do at her house! This is a couple of weeks ago when I first crawled through the TUNNEL OF FUN:

And here I am today. Mommy got to come and play with me for awhile and I had even more fun in the tunnel!

Our SNOW DAY!

While Mommy's Away Me and Daddy will Play!

Today Mommy left me and Daddy at home to play while she went to get her hair cut. Here I am enjoying a snack with Daddy while Mommy was gone.

My Famous Kindergarten Friends

Mommy's kindergartners are FAMOUS! They are making a movie called "How to Be Kind." The world premiere of the movie is on Valentine's Day.

Click on the link below to see the Rochester Democrat & Chronicle's video report about their movie.

Exciting stuff!

Kids make movie about kindness

Totally ready for Kindergarten!

Today I went to Mommy's kindergarten class for our weekly lunch date. I had a lot of fun learning my ABC's:

After I practiced the alphabet for a bit I decided I was ready to start reading books. Here I am reading some of the books written by Mommy's kindergartners:

Why don't I just go ahead and read them to you:

Is it my "first" word, or not?

Well of course you know I say "Mama" and "Dada" all the time. And there are those who are sure I have been saying "hi" as well. But the most recent vocabulary debate in our house is all about Mr. Balloon. Mr. Balloon is the Happy Birthday balloon I surprised Mommy with at school on her birthday. Ever since we brought it home it has been one of my favorite things to play with.

(Note from Mommy and Daddy - of course we know balloons aren't the safest baby toys and Annabelle is highly supervised whilst enjoying her new pal).

Anyway, back to my story. I like to crawl around holding on to Mr. Balloon's string so he bounces along behind me. I like to look up at him as he flies up to the ceiling. When Daddy says "Annabelle, where's Mr. Balloon?" I look up in the air to try to find him. But one day Daddy told Mommy that we better get a new Mr. Balloon since the original is deflating. So when Mommy and I went out grocery shopping on Sunday, we bought Mr. Balloon # 2. It is a football shaped NY Giants balloon and I am sure that I brought the Super Bowl winners good luck by playing with Mr. Balloon # 2 all day on Sunday.

Now I bet you are wondering about the vocabulary debate. Well, here it is. I have been hearing the word "balloon" a lot lately and Mommy and Daddy are pretty sure I am trying to say it too. Except when I say "balloon" it comes out "labloo." So they can't decide whether or not it is REALLY my first official word (besides Mama and Dada). Would you please write some comments and help me convince them that I know what I'm talking about?!

It's not easy being CHEESY!

I have a new favorite food. It's CHEESE! Last Saturday during our weekly trip to Wegman's Mommy and I looked and looked and finally found some REAL cheese slices (no "pasteurized processed cheese food" for me!). Mommy tried to give me some small bits of it last weekend, but I couldn't quite figure out how to eat it. I could get the pieces into my mouth but then I didn't know what to do with it. Just a few days later I figured out how to chew it (even though I still don't have any teeth!) and now I am chewing my cheese like a champ. I love it! Here are a few pics and a video clip of me enjoying my cheese at supper time tonight:
