Portraits of a Mini Artist
Today I had a really fun day with Daddy while Mommy was at a workshop. Mommy will try to post about that soon - Daddy took a TON of pics and video clips during our fun rainy day outing to Chuck E. Cheese!
When Mommy got home we had lots of fun together too. One of the best parts was our "Art Club" - check me out painting beautiful pictures:
Around the third painting I spontaneously began telling Mommy what I was painting and who I was painting it for. She wrote my captions and dedications on several of the paintings.

My Second Haircut
Today Mommy and I went to the salon for our haircuts. Mommy and Daddy cheered me on while I got my second haircut, and then Daddy took me to the park nearby while Mommy got her hair cut.
Here I am waiting for our appointment...
Now it's time to get started on MY hair!
We mostly concentrated on my bangs...

A New Numerical Order
Here is the way I prefer to count...
1, 2, 3, 8, 9, 10, 38
I have done it in that very order over and over again today. Hey, I like it that way!

Our Morning Drive Chats: Random Comments
Yesterday: "Mommy, I a booger, my nose...I need a tissue, I wipe it."
Today: Me - "Mama?"
Mommy - "Yes, Annabelle?"
Me - "I lub Daddy."
Mommy - (verklempt) - "Awww, do you want to call him and tell him?"
Me - (with enthusiasm) - "YES, Mama!"
Mommy - dials phone...Daddy answers...Mommy hands it to me...
Me - (to Daddy on phone) "I lub you. I lub you."
Daddy - "I love you, Annabelle. I love you soooo much."
Me - "Awwwww....." (hand phone back to Mommy)

Father's Day Breakfast
Amusing ourselves while we wait for our food to arrive...
Just like last year, we decided to make a stop at the nearby Borders book store after breakfast...they opened at 10:00 so we were a little bit early (after making a stop at Target which we will post about later!). Here Daddy and I get cozy on a bench outside of Borders while we wait for them to open up!
Happy Father's Day, Daddy!
This year we celebrated Father's Day with a continuation of the four special traditions we started last year.
1 - We began the day with a yummy breakfast at Cracker Barrel, Daddy's choice for this year.
2 - We made Daddy our 2nd Annual Coupon Book - this year it featured 12 months worth of ideas for fun (and mostly free!) things I want to do with Daddy!
3 - Mommy and I presented Daddy with a sweet new book for us to enjoy together. My pick for this year was I Love You, Daddy by Jillian Harker (again, like last year's pick, featuring bears and nature). Mommy also gave Daddy a special little book called Father to Daughter: Life Lessons on Raising a Girl by Harry H. Harrison Jr. (it made Mommy cry!).
4 - In spite of a CRAZY end of the year schedule at school, Mommy pulled off (at the last minute) a special Father's Day addition to my scrapbook. She actually whipped up a two-page spread highlighting my delight in playing with Daddy in my playhouse, and even added a second two page spread showcasing tons of fun at the playground last weekend!

I also made Daddy two one-of-a-kind cards, one featuring my coloring and writing, and one with a special recorded message from me! And Mommy and I decided to add one more now annual tradition - a gift of something MUSICAL for Daddy to enjoy. This year's gift was a second Hercules Guitar Stand to add to his collection (I gave him the first one for Christmas last year).
Below are some pics of the gift giving event...stay tuned for LOTS more Father's Day posting to come. We had a TON of fun and it may take Mommy a few days to post everything (especially since she realized today that she never even finished showing off all of our Mother's Day fun!).

Here I am, reading the coupon book to Daddy - this is the page that tells Daddy I want to go to Wegman's with him, ride in the car cart, and get a cookie!

Soon to Be Famous Artist Makes a Portrait of Me!
Check out this computer-drawn portrait of me, created by the big sister of one of Mommy's first graders/oldest of 4 daughters of Mommy's friend (and now our 3rd "just in case" backup babysitter) "Miss Robin." She created this in just a few minutes when we stopped by for a visit a couple of weeks ago. She has rendered me completely accurately, down to my rainbow shirt and pants, my glasses, and my little side pony tail. The only thing that might be slightly off is that last time I checked my left hand does have 4 fingers and a thumb.
