Take your Child to Work Day

Today I got to visit Mommy at school for our weekly lunch date. It was a perfect day for our visit, since today is Take your Child to Work Day! I really enjoyed playing with the "Read the Room" pointers and playing peekaboo with the easel and the doll house. Here are some pics and clips of our visit.

My First Birthday - Round Two

This past weekend Grammy Katie and Uncle Ross came from West Virginia to celebrate my birthday. Here is what I looked like when I first saw Grammy Katie - she was sleeping on the couch and I woke her up bright and early!

I modeled my "Fun to be One" crown for Grammy - but only for a quick second. Good thing Mommy had the camera ready!

Here's my cake - Wegman's forgot to add the word "Birthday" but Mommy decided we could just celebrate my 1st EVERYTHING!

My One Year Old Check Up

Today I had my one year old check up. Mostly it was fun just playing in the doctor's office while the nice lady told Mommy and Daddy how smart and healthy I am. But the fun ended abruptly when the nurse came in at the end of the appointment to give me three, count 'em, three shots! Thank goodness I had Mommy's milk and Daddy's snuggles to soothe me after that ordeal! Even though I cried some I was very brave and Mommy and Daddy were very proud of me.

Here are some fun facts from my check up:
I now weigh 23 pounds, 8 ounces.
I am now 29 3/4 inches tall (exactly 10 inches longer than I was when I was born!)
I am now half as tall as Gramma Katie, which Uncle Ross finds absolutely hilarious!

Back in Time - Play Date # 2

Last week I had my second play date with Julia and the rest of the Walters' clan. Mommy was so busy getting ready for my birthday that she didn't have time to post it on my blog. So we will go back in time to show you!

My Birthday Trip to the Zoo

Here we are - ready for my first ever visit to the zoo, on my first birthday!

I was most excited about all of the "everyday" birds we saw - here I am pointing at a pigeon. I spotted him on the ground near my stroller and then he flew up and landed on the fence just to the left of the evergreen tree.

At the Zoo Shop I got two little souvenirs - a baby wolf and a baby elephant. I held onto both of them all the way home (even while I was dozing in the van).
Before we left Seneca Park we stopped to feed my friends the geese and the ducks - notice I am still clutching both of my animals!
Back at home for lunch with my newest animal friends!

My First Birthday - Round One
