My Baby Blues

Yesterday I had my first visit to the eye doctor. The pediatrician thought he noticed one of my eyes crossing in a funny way and he wanted me to get checked out by a pediatric eye specialist. So yesterday morning Mommy and I braved the bad winter weather and went to visit the eye doctor. We had to wait a LONG time but I was very patient. Then a very nice lady who looked like she was about 12 took us in a room and put drops in my eyes to dilate my pupils. I was really good about it - I only let out a little tiny squawk when she put the drop in my second eye. Then we had to go wait a LONG time again and I was getting a little bored but I was still very patient. Mommy let me crawl around a bit but then I tried to crawl into all of the different exam rooms so she had to hold me again. FINALLY the very special eye specialist came and checked out my eyes and he told Mommy he was very happy with everything he saw. He said my eye muscles are working just right and I can come back and see him in a year. Hurray for my beautiful baby blues!

How brave you are, Annabelle. Eyedrops...ugh- I know a girl who once slapped a glass eyedropper out of her doctor's hand and it smashed all over the floor! That girl was me! You're much better behaved and I'm not surprised that your beautiful big blue eyes are PERFECT! Love you lots, Gram Marie
