My New Adirondack Chair, etc.

Here I am sitting in my new Adirondack chair, a fun and functional souvenir from our Adirondack vacation. We bought it at the Inlet Department Store, right before we saw the golden retriever driving the car. I couldn't wait to sit in it, and we had to plop it in the grass near our parking space so I could just spend some time lounging in my new chair before we left for our next adventure.

Here is a picture of the Inlet Common School. It is the smallest, or maybe second smallest, school district in New York state. These two little buildings house the school from grades pre-k through 8. For high school the kids are bussed to the nearby Town of Webb schools, 10 miles away in Old Forge. We learned all of this by chatting with a nice man who told us he is a classroom teacher, maintenance man, lunch lady, and gym coach, all rolled into one. He also told us the school is so great, people should be begging to work there. Maybe someday Mommy and Daddy will teach in a small town like this!

Here are some pretty pictures we took on one of our drives between Inlet and Old Forge.

Zoe wants to go on a trip to the Adirondacks, too! I wish Zoe could see her cousin Annabelle more, more, more! She is getting so big and can teach Zoe so much. Annabelle looks like such a cutie in her big girl adirondack chair. I love her so much! Maybe someday we'll talk via her pacifier/phone. I love you, Annabelle! Aunt Jerri

How special was our time with you, Annabelle! Your new little Adirondack chair is just right for you. Pretty soon, you'll get to see your new cousin and you'll have another very special time. You will have to tell Zoe all about your trip. Love you lots - GramMarie. P.S. Tell Angus and JoJo that they are NOT ALLOWED to drive a car!!

I can't believe that school Annabelle! Would you like to go to a school like that when you grow up? Your vacation sure sounds great. I can't wait to talk to you about it when we have a our next playdate!

Your visit to the Adirondacks makes us lonely for those mountains and for you! But, on our big 'ol front porch is a rocking chair just the right size for you and on our kitchen porch is a little adirondack chair just the right size for you too! When you come to the mountains to visit you will find that baby bear's chairs are JUST RIGHT!
